To continue the mission of Columbus Glass Art Center, we present an annual slate of classes designed for our working glass artists to delve deeper into specific glass skills. These top glass artists bring their talents to Columbus each summer to teach and share their knowledge and experience with students of all abilities Our one-week or one-weekend intensive classes are a great way to learn new skills and perfect techniques.

After our move to a fully updated studio in 2024 that expanded our facility and greatly increased our work spaces, Columbus Glass Art Center (formerly Glass Axis) continues to be recognized as one of Ohio's most professional glass facilities.

Columbus Glass Art Center is located in the historic Franklinton neighborhood, just west of downtown Columbus! Our historic urban neighborhood of Franklinton puts Columbus Glass Art Center within short travel to lots of wonderful restaurants, small independent art galleries, and the rest of the city's thriving arts and sports scene. In downtown Columbus, visitors can take in a show at the beautiful Ohio or Palace Theatres, visit the Columbus Museum of Art, cheer on the Columbus Clippers or Columbus Crew.

Due to the intensive schedule, structure, and physical requirements of our summer intensive program, these classes are generally not suited for students under the age of 17 years old. Students under the age of 17 who wish to enroll in a class should contact our office.

Summer intensive registration remains open until all seats in class are full. Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Full payment is required to secure placement in any class, although payment plans are available, but must be paid in full by the first day of class. All classes are subject to minimum enrollment. If class does not meet minimum enrollment 1 month prior to the start date, it will be canceled. Students will be notified via email and offered the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund.

If you are interested in a payment plan, please choose that option at checkout and further instructions will be sent to you. If you choose a payment plan, you are not eligible to receive the Early Bird discount, unless you pay in full by the Early Bird cutoff date for that class.
